June 25--Paris in depth
We started the day with a visit to the Louvre and said hello to the Mona Lisa, then had lunch, strolled through the Tuilleries gardens, and spent the afternoon in the neighborhood of Montmartre. Time to rest and freshen up before dinner at Le Bosquet and an evening visit atop the Eiffel Tower. What a great day!

June 22--D-Day Beaches & Bayeux Tapestry
Today we met our guide Alex and delved into D-Day history with visits to a British cemetery, a German cemetery, Point du Hoc (where we explored bunkers and bomb craters while taking in the views of Utah and Omaha beaches), and the American cemetery Coleville sur Mer. We placed flags at some of the American graves to honor the fallen. Lunch at a traditional food truck in Coleville sur Mer where we tried out new French foods and snacks. Back in Bayeux, we visited the cathedral near our hotel and then experienced the thousand-year-old Bayeux Tapestry. Another delicious dinner at the hotel. What a great day.
