June 19--London in depth

This morning we took the Tube to the Tower of London where we saw the Crown Jewels and took a wonderful tour led by Yeoman Ward, or "Beefeater." From there we crossed the Thames via Tower Bridge and strolled along Queens Walk to lunch at Hay's Galleria. Next we visited the Churchill war rooms (excellent!) and saw the Prime Minister's residence at 10 Downing Street as well as the famous Cenotaph memorial. Free time in the afternoon at Covent Garden followed by dinner at Belgo Centraal and a ride on the London Eye--beautiful!
